Saturday June 15th, 2024 at Buffalo RiverWorks

We are reaching out to our fellow members of the small business community, members of Intrepid and our fellow Buffalonians, to ask for your support in our favorite annual charity event…the Hope Chest of Buffalo Dragon Boat Races on Saturday June 15th, 2024. More details can be found on their website, but this organization sponsors year round exercise programs for Breast Cancer survivors through rowing and paddling techniques that are especially beneficial for those whom have had treatments and operations associated with Breast Cancer. The Hope Chest of Buffalo strives to help anyone personally impacted by Breast Cancer live an unrestricted and active life by partnering with fitness centers, and offering classes on and off the water that are tailored to longevity and recovery.

This is a sanctioned Olympic Weightlifting meet, open to any level of athlete

This event will be hosted by Intrepid Athletics WNY, at 722 Maple Rd. in Williamsville (The Fuji Grill Plaza on the corner of Maple rd. and North Forest Rd.)

All athletes must have a USAW membership, and present it on the day of the meet at weight ins. They must also be prepared with a singlet to both weigh-in and compete in.

Competition weigh-ins will begin at 8am, and lifting will begin at 10am. We will operate with one session, completing all snatches first (women, then men) and then completing all Clean & Jerks.

All participating athletes will receive a competition shirt, and a cash prize will be awarded to the athlete with the highest total in the womens and mens division.

Spectators are welcome and may come at no cost, we just ask that they respect the boundaries of the platform and dont encroach on the needed space of the event staff.

We kindly ask that out of respect to the athletes and staff, you silence your phones throughout the competition to avoid unnecessary distractions.
